Yuletide nominations!

I fully intend to take part in Yuletide again, and just nominated some stuff - I didn't really take a long time to think about it, which I'll probably regret, but whatever.

1) Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Probably other people will nominate this, but just to be sure...

2) Bernice Summerfield (Big Finish Audios)
Benny doesn't even exist as a fandom on AO3!!! How horrible is that? So now I've nominated it. But it sucks that you can only nominate 4 characters.

3) Krabat - Otfried Preußler
Now this needs an explanation. It's German young adult fiction (there are a couple of movies, too) about a boy who goes to a satanic mill/black witchcraft school, works his way up to favourite student and then defeats his master. It's like Harry Potter if Harry Potter were a really dark fairy-tale set in 17th cent. Eastern Europe and Dumbledore was Voldemort. Amusingly, the main evil wizard, who is also the miller, is only called the Master. Probably no one else will want to write/request this... and if they do request it, they probably won't ask for Krabat/Juro or Master/dead best friend.

This is probably a silly question, but what is Yuletide?

Aha, let me explain, grasshopper. Yuletide is an annual story exchange that people from all corners of fandom participate in. The catch is that only "rare" fandoms can be nominated, so for example Harry Potter, Doctor Who or Supernatural are disqualified, but for fandoms that only have a handful of fanfics like, idk, Shakespeare or Big Finish Audios, yuletide is one of the best opportunities to get fic (there are some exceptions, for example "Thor" might qualify because it's not yet a year old, and anime has it's own separate yuletide-esque fic exchange). Each participant gets to write three requests in three fandoms of which one will be written, and can volunteer for as many different fandoms as they like. Stories are always posted just before Christmas.
