So xparrot and gnine asked for a Ninja/Pirate AU fic. And this got me to "researching" Ninjas (which consisted of reading related wikipedia articles and watching exactly one episode of the anime Naruto on a day I spent sick at home, which didn't overwhelm me exactly. I'm definitely not into anime anymore.)

Anyways, I got as far as thinking: if Clark were a Ninja, his given Japanese name would be Hoshi (meaning "star", one of the few words of Japanese I know. I can say "Good morning/evening, my name is N., I am German. Are you Japanese?" "sorry" "thank you" "I love you" and "What is this?", as well as assorted useless words like "star", "darkness", "delicious", "boyfriend" etc.)

And then, in the depths of memory, something stirred. Huh. Ninja Clark. I read this before somewhere... I looked closely at my harddrive.

I found the crack.

DC was there before me. I present you therefore the JLA as Ninjas Elseworlds, complete with Clark as a pretty ninja and the most Superman/Batman text you've seen since The Authority:

I need a quick beta! It's the next part of Elseworlds, only not the part I said I was working on. Yeah. So, anybody in for 7083 words of AU Clex? It's Nc-17 and a bit trippy in places, but you don't need any knowledge of comics or Smallville canon.

It's the last week of spring break, I'm slightly sick, suffering from writer's block and excruciatingly bored.

So I went to look at my very huge folder of SV fic to look at old stuff, written before I posted "Protection". Do you like your own fic when you reread it after a while? I often do. There are two pieces I decided I could post. One I'd like to try and write at least a bit more, so it isn't completely unfinished and the other... well. It's a part of Elseworlds, but written long before Elseworlds even existed, last summer. Then, when I posted Elseworlds, I discarded this idea, but now that I've dug up the file again, I have no idea why. It's fun. I even sort of have a plot for it.

First of all, I got a lovely gift on my user page from romanyg. Thank you! I've never received a gift on Valentines day, which isn't that big over here, and besides, I'm perpetually single, but seeing the gift was great.

ETA: Oh, and some people wrote me in svmadelyn's Valentine Game! Man, I really need to become more pro-active to keep up with this fandom's nice-ness!

Let's start with maybe the crackiest part... no, that's Bat!Lex and Clark. But this one is a close second. This happened for no reason other than Lex being bald and Superman having a red cape.
