I fully intend to take part in Yuletide again, and just nominated some stuff - I didn't really take a long time to think about it, which I'll probably regret, but whatever.

1) Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes
Probably other people will nominate this, but just to be sure...

2) Bernice Summerfield (Big Finish Audios)
Benny doesn't even exist as a fandom on AO3!!! How horrible is that? So now I've nominated it. But it sucks that you can only nominate 4 characters.

3) Krabat - Otfried Preußler
Now this needs an explanation. It's German young adult fiction (there are a couple of movies, too) about a boy who goes to a satanic mill/black witchcraft school, works his way up to favourite student and then defeats his master. It's like Harry Potter if Harry Potter were a really dark fairy-tale set in 17th cent. Eastern Europe and Dumbledore was Voldemort. Amusingly, the main evil wizard, who is also the miller, is only called the Master. Probably no one else will want to write/request this... and if they do request it, they probably won't ask for Krabat/Juro or Master/dead best friend.

I was thinking of nominating Benny too! But then I thought - Yuletide is always difficult and stuff, and I really only want to write Who fic... which doesn't seem to be the right idea. I could just set up a fest for MYSELF.

On the other hand, I am excited about this Earth's Mightest Heroes suggestion you have there... and Benny, obviously. There are about 8 stories on teaspoon that have Benny in them. And two of those are Crane Wife and Meanwhile - which don't really count. Not good.

This is probably a silly question, but what is Yuletide?

I tried reading Krabat (I have other books by the author), but I wasn't able to concentrate and the language was a bit above my comprehension level (in German, that is). I'll probably try again some other time.

I nominated the Tiger und Bär stories, myself. :D

Thanks for reminding me that I never read Krabat. This grave error shall hopefully be rectified soon (well, around christmas). :)
