Heroes 2x02 - "Lizards"

1. For some reason, I can't help to think of the Bennet's storyline as "Claire Bennet moves to Sunnydale and is stalked by Superboy". Also: she cut her toe off. WTF. And Superstalker is my prime suspect for Kaito Nakamura's murder.

2. Mohinder is still hot. Especially when he sweats. I loved the Haiti setting: one of the really awesome things about Heroes is how they keep globetrotting and using different locations. And the Haitian is back with Bennet! Whee!

3. Hiro's storyline continues to make me gleeful, because it is such a fairytale/comicbook story. The cherryblossoms! You see, SV is cute because it's corny, but Heroes is awesome, because it's intentionally and skillfully corny. Also: Kensei is a Highlander immortal. At least until canon contradicts me :D (Come on. He's a gaijin with a sword in a historical setting who can heal from mortal injuries. If that's not Highlander, I don't know what it is.)

4. God, am I ever not interested in Maya and Alejandro. So she has black oil from X-Files and he stole Peter's hair. Who cares?*yawn*

5. Peter's short hair is no improvement, but his shirtlessness and bloodiness was. Nathan's beard looks so fake that I'm going to be disappointed if he doesn't take it off in some future episode. It's also extremely unbecoming.

6. Mr. Bennet continues to rock.

I am amused at how similar our reactions to this episode were--not only the Highlander references but things like Claire's stalker and Nathan's beard. But I really loved this line: So she has black oil from X-Files and he stole Peter's hair. Who cares?*yawn*
Though I actually like the characters, just not their plotline.

What bugs me about Maya and Alejandro is that to me it seems as if they're being portrayed as naive and helpless because of where they're from - every other nationality portrayed on the show manages just fine on their own, but they need to go to the US to get help.

But the effect used with her eyes was just fun. I wonder what her ability is - maybe the black stuff is toxic?

You pretty much state my same opinions (except the Japanese stuff is driving us nuts and not in a good way, it's just so extremely wrong. Highlander was way more historically accurate. Which...er...isn't really a good sign.)

Gaaaah yes when Mohinder is hot he is hot. I like him working with Mr. Bennet. Mr. Bennet is one of those chars who doubles the coolness quotient of everyone involved with him. (I was, however, totally expecting Mohinder to walk into the apartment and give Parkman a peck on the cheek, and was surprisingly disappointed when it didn't happen.)

I'm almost wondering if Nathan's beard is real just because it looks so fake that if it were really a fake, they'd do a better job. If that makes any sense.

My opinions are also extremely similar, bar the Highlander reference as I didn't follow that series. Also I love the Japanese stuff as it's like the lighter moments of Zhang Yimou's wuxia.

Mohinder should always wear white, but I do wish he'd shave more. Noah continues to be wonderful, and Mr Muggles had a moment! Well, more than one moment actually.

Maya and Alejandro are the Niki and DL of this season. My attention goes wandering every time they're on screen.

My main problem with the episode was that, both times I watched it, the ending caught me by surprise. It just kind of stops. Well, that and the toe thing which made my eyes cross. :)

The same here - although I much prefer Niki and DL.

I covered my ears because I was afraid the toe would make a horrible crunching sound when she cut it off!

My newphew got me addicted to this show now too. :P lol Ok... Hiro and Mohinder got me addicted!

1. Claire cutting her toe off was just... EWWWWW! And with those scissors? She would have had to use a LOT of force to get those scissors to cut bone.

5. I actually like Peter's short hair. I kept wanting to take scissors to his hair in S1.

And Duncan was in Japan, too! That's where he got his katana from, after all. And although I don't remember the actual relevant episode, it's a given that Duncan had a fling with a beautiful girl there, too.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think it may have been 301-The Samurai. And I'm pretty sure he did have a fling with the guys daughter.

I have plenty of Methos icons. :D I need a Heroes icon, but I'm not just sure who or what I want it of just yet.
