Well, finally here's the real action starting. I scrapped a whole damn lot of unneccessary stuff and still this chapter is longer than the rest. Also, no, Lady Jan is not a Mary Sue (in case you're wondering.)

I just received an e-mail from morganmichele with congratulations and I was like... for what? (Sorry for my confused reply, Morgan!) And then I remembered the CLFF fic I had tried my best to repress any memory of because I personally found it so awful.

So it won second place tied with hils's fic. *sheepish look*

Maybe I won't be quite so terrified of challenges now. I'm contemplating undermistletoe...
