Took part in a 1 1/2 h experiment at the Pychology Department. Mostly it was reaction/decision making tests at the computer. In one test you had to wear headphones, and could press a left and a right button to predict whether a high or a low noise would come. If you got it right, the computer screen showed you a "nice" image (babies, puppies, flowers, horses, landscapes, happy couples, smiling people), if you got it wrong, it showed you a "bad" image (snakes, spiders, nuclear war, weapons, police, angry faces, sick people). Amusingly, there were also images where I wasn't sure if they were supposed to be nice or bad: a porn mag image of a woman touching her clit and an image of a woman breastfeeding a baby and a dog at the same time. Also, all the couples were heterosexual, but the people were multiracial and multicultural. The images were very fast and the test went on for ages, so after a while I got all paranoid about subliminal messages and brainwashing. Also, if there was a pattern to the high/low noises I couldn't figure it out, so I just pressed the buttons randomly, hoping for good images.
However, I got 14 € for participating, which is great :D
