Smallville

My new-found obsession with Smallville has reached the point where I'm writing fic for it. This is ridiculous because
a) I have only ever seen about four episodes at the end of season four and four episodes at the beginning of three, as well as two fanvids. My knowledge of Smallville canon is based almost solely on reading every fanfic ever recced. This, of course, also makes watching the show a bit painful, because in comparison, it isn't very great. And also, Lana. I don't hate her the way I hated Riley on Buffy, but she's endlessly boring.
b) I have no real knowledge of Superman canon, either. I've seen the old movies but that was years ago. At least Superman comic canon doesn't compare to the endless convolution of X-Men comicsverse, since they retcon it about once every decade and you get different canons to choose from.
c) The number of started but unfinished and unposted fics on my computer is reaching a hundred. I do not need more fics!
But that scene wouldn't leave me and I had to write it. Clark/Lex is as if Harry/Draco met Charles/Erik and that somehow pushes my buttons. (And wow, the LJ spellcheck suggests 'Lix' 'Lax' 'Lox' and 'Lyx' but does not recognize 'Lex' :P)
