This happens a lot in fandom - there's a huge continuity to be played with, and all fandom seems to want is this one tiny corner of it which is, yeah, cute, but not terribly interesting.
Even Bond/Silva would interest me a whole lot more than Bond/Q, thematically. And, okay, also because I want Bond to sub/bottom more than I want him to be a badass macho top. Or rather, I want him to be both, if that makes sense.
