Actually, once I'd posted this, I realized that I really should have written it from Tyrion's POV, because I think I understand him fairly well by now, whereas Littlefinger's motivations are still a mystery. Is he loyal to the Lannisters? Did he betray Eddard as a last minute change of heart? Does he think he still has a chance with Cat after this, or does he not care? I have NO idea.
