Neat exchange between Kal-El and Batman, and I get such incredibly ominous vibes from your description of Doomsday. How can they be sure they can really control it once it's activated or brought to life or whatever, and how can they count on being able to simply 'put it away' when the war is over? Does it have no true consciousness at all? What is the deal with the supposed plague on Krypton and the star that went nova when Kal was younger? Do I sense an evil plot by Zod? Nice scene with Kal eating breakfast with Chloe and Dick, but you have me worried about Lex and his apparent desire to avoid Kal-El since their lovemaking. Is Lex afraid of what he already feels for Kal, afraid of hurting Kal or getting hurt? *pets the boys* And what, if anything, can Kal and Lex do to help keep Martha and Jonathan together? Lionel could certainly afford to lend/give Jor-El some desperately needed money, and I'd bet anything that Lionel or Lex could come up with a way to keep the transaction a secret, but I don't see the MB as being that helpful or generous. *growls at Lionel* Very nice chapter; this story gets more intriguing all the time!
