I thought about your prompt for a while, and then it suddenly occurred to me (it hadn't before) that Source!Lex isn't really Q in the Q-Picard dynamic. On a moral level, of course, Superman is Picard and Lex is Q before Q became responsible. Morally, Lex moves from Q to Picard, but on the intellectual level, he moves from Picard to Q. He's a human who strives for knowledge and power but not foolishly so, because he gets it in the end. He would totally pass those tests Q loves to do. So he has the best of both worlds. And he's bald ;D Your prompt actually made a lot of sense, despite the crack.
