sighs...maria... she was my student, my pupil, the person I had planned to leave my legacy with , should I ever be forced to leave fandom for RL reasons... I was probably one of the first person, she lied to. that was two years ago. she had everything. I truly think, she is ill. I mean, I was ready to leave her the password to my theme clex recs! that was one week before the desaster in december. sighs again.
you are actually right, all us three could be called BNF, though any of us is/were in fandom for different reasons. we all do/did different things, and wanted different things out of this experience. as much as I was there, when maria created her persona, my persona has been shaped by madelyn in my first delurking years. (really, you have the most stupid questions, and you run to madelyn, and ask, and she will help).
I think, it all boils down to how you define BNFs. if its in the writing sense, there is nearly no competition to astolat. I mean, her writing? gift of the gods :D
