The complicated balance of power between them is what attracts me most to Clex as a pairing, I think. (As characters, it's the epicness and the woobieness, but as a pairing, it's this.) With all their insane power and weaknesses and dependence, they're such a volatile mixture and still so very well-matched.
Oh, very well said! And I couldn't agree more. What attracts me to pairings is this power shift, a precarious balance. I'm really not interested in obvious dominant and submissive stuff (and I've seen Clex written that way, and well, it's just not my tasty salad.). I guess I like to be surprised, when things are uncertain and yet not. *g*
