This week's episode is a tricky one. I loved its plot, I loved its visuals, all three main actors did a great job and had good lines - but I still wasn't quite comfortable with the gender dynamics. Nevertheless, second favourite episode of this season, and up there with "The Lodger", "Amy's Choice" and "The Doctor's Wife".

The Girl Who Waited )

All in all, a clever, thought-provoking, engaging and extremely well-paced episode with some gender issues that are mostly there because they fall into a pattern that spans the whole series.
