Happy Meme Day 3: My grandmother seemed to like her Christmas gift very much :) And I wore a minidress and tall boots, which always makes me happy.

Also, random thoughts on crossovers/pastiches I'm not writing in my head:

1. Smallville meets BSG
It's so obvious! Is Clark a Cylon or isn't he? And what will happen to the fleet and the Cylons when they find out that there are aliens? This is esp. poignant if we take the origin story where Brainiac is responsible for Krypton's destruction. Also, this crossover has intrigue between Roslin, Zarek and Lionel, as well as bonding between Laura and Martha. There could be Lex and Baltar doing science, because obviously Lex NEEDS to know if Clark is a Cylon. Lana could have a Cylon pregnancy. Yeah. And Lois would definitely be a pilot, and have a torrid affair with Starbuck or Apollo or both. And Chloe would uncover all of Roslin's and Adama's dirty secrets and get into trouble.

2. Doctor Who meets House
This has been done. The standard mode for House crossovers is: "a character from fandom X has a mystery illness! Only House can cure it!" But there are other options. House as companion. Imagine the snark singularity if House were ever to meet Richard E. Grant's Doctor and Jacobi Master. Or that awful fic where Thirteen turns out to be Thirteen. She even ran around with a pocket watch as pendant in S4. Or that fic where House is a fobwatched Doctor, and the MRI machine is his TARDIS (and the ducklings and/or Wilson are his long-suffering companions). Or Cuddy is secretly Romana, and this is where they all fled to from the Time War. And, of course, "What if the TV Movie had been set in Princeton instead of San Francisco?" House, of course, would properly diagnose the Doctor as alien and not kill him on the operating table. But who gets to be goo!Master?
