Jun. 24th, 2008 09:12 pmToday I fainted in the library (it was awfully hot, this sometimes happens to me) - my vision just went black and I quietly slipped to the floor, twitched a bit, lost some time and then woke up feeling faint, probably no more than a minute later. I got up, groaned a bit and THEN the person next to me, who had been there the whole time asked, "Oh, are you all right?" No, lady, I just fell to the floor for fun. Strangely enough though, fainting is a bit fun. There's this moment before and after where I feel all floaty.
I've also listened to a couple more audios in the last days (finally that 45 minute drive to uni is good for something! I can't read in buses because I get sick, but I can listen to audios.)
Absolution (Eight): Contrary to appearances, I'm not actually a C'rizz fan. He's sort of there, and I don't mind him and occasionally he's a bit crazy, which is cool. This story, however, made no sense at all. Like, none. Also, the thing I like least about Charley is that she keeps dissing the TARDIS. Wtf, girl.
The Marian Conspiracy (Six): Evelyn had her annoying moments here, too, but I liked her dynamic with Six. The story was painfully transparent, though.
Project: Lazarus (Six and Seven): There are some interesting parallels to be made between Evelyn here and Charley at the end of Absolution, but I must say that I sympathized more with Evelyn AND with Six than with Charley and Eight. Also, great creepy!Seven moments. He works better without companions, I think.
Dust Breeding (Seven): The climax wasn't bad, but overall the story was rather dull, and the Master's lines very routine, even though I kind of like Beevers!Master. I liked that we saw Seven's compassion, though. He can be very ruthless, and I like it when we see his kinder side. Also, it has this little exchange:
Master: Perhaps I will keep your shrunken corpse as a memento!
Doctor: How sentimental of you.
Sympathy for the Devil: LOL at David Tennant's (fake?) accent. The Third Doctor of this audio is... kind of there. But Gatiss!Master rocks. (I loved his "I did all this to get your attention, but you didn't come!" pout). It's an interesting AU, but the ending was very sudden and a bit "rocks fall, and they lived happily ever after".
