Last night's role-playing session turned into an all-nighter, although we stopped role-playing to watch movies instead. We watched Silent Hill, which was surprisingly watchable and made me *crave* femmeslash between Cute Blonde Main Character and Badass Blonde Police Chick. Then I drove home at 4 a.m. Now my brain is mush.

This for me utterly useless day still isn't over, so let's have a random poll about narrators.

For the purpose of the poll, let's just assume we're talking about writing that is, in terms of quality, enjoyable. If a story is really good, how do you want it to be told/how to you prefer to tell it?

I usually write close third, although I sometimes stray into omniscient territory, and I've recently tried some first person narration. As a reader I have no real preference, except that omniscient narrators should either be recognizably unreliable (yep, I can't think of an example for this, but I'd like to see one) or tongue-in-cheek. Or, well, old.
