I don't have any strong opinions on this except that it was too bloody hurried, and I still dislike Moffats "if we make it quick enough no one will notice the rough edges" strategy.
- young Melody was cool, possibly I like her actress more than Alex Kingston, or maybe it's that River's behaviour is often terribly juvenile and that's more palatable coming from an actual teenager? Idk. But I liked kid!Melody and the flashbacks we got of her and Amy and Rory.
- I don't really think being a space archeologist from the 51st century helps you stalk the Doctor, but okay. Now Benny can mock River for being a fake archeologist whose sole motivation for her career is to chase a man.
- I hope River/Melody eventually realized that her choice of jacket was in extremely bad taste. Or maybe she went off to party with Prince Harry.
- Why doesn't the Doctor just give Amy and Rory a phone? Crop circles are cute (although, "Doctor"? Really? How creative.) but if you keep losing your companions on Earth while looking for their lost daughter (I assume that is what happened) then maybe you should give them a phone. Or just inject trackers into their ears like you do with dogs.
- Did the Doctor's cane look like a TCE? A liiiitle bit. And it looked so while the Doctor talked about compression technology. (I now imagine the First Doctor being all "Shrunken people! Incredible, Master, most incredible! Oh, they're dead? Well, improve your technology, man! What do you mean that is the point? Surely, tiny little people are the point!")
- I was curious about the Question for a moment, but then I remembered Douglas Adams.
