Oh man, I hadn't thought of Lana as Persephone until you had it here, but now the image won't leave my head. You are totally right, and all the weird distance and isolation Lana's experienced in S6 makes so much sense in that context. And Clark isn't coming into his own as Superman because he's lost in grief and damning the world to winter and...wow. (Except that Hades is always more tragic than villainous, the lonely monarch just wishing for a little light. But then they do enjoy dwelling on Lex's tragedy, so...)
