I'm glad it's done now. I like some of what I produced for it, but overall, the quality suffered under the deadline pressure and prompt constrictions. (I always have that problem with challenges, it seems - my writing gets either rushed or cramped.) Otoh, it kept me writing all summer long. Normally, summers are long dryspells for me, writing-wise. Most of my writer's blocks happen in summer. So I guess flawed stuff is better than no stuff. (And I'm getting better with icons, I think.)

My favourite of the bunch: Solitaire (even though others might objectively be better.)

Wow. Way to go!

Somehow, I work better with prompts, because I need an idea to get me started. I haven't decided about deadlines or not. They're good up to a point, then sometimes I get all "Forget it, it was an artificial constraint, anyway."

Yeah, but if I allow myself to accept that the deadline is artificial, then I never get anything done.

Prompts are good though. But only if I'm not writing for a specific person's prompt, because then I will get all worried if they'll like it. (That's why I love anon memes.)

likewise :) it's not that the others are bad, but solitaire is one of my favourite things that has ever been written in the fandom and i've reread it several times already.

*squees a little* You have no idea how much that pleases me :) I'm not one of those writers who hate their own stuff, but I'm irrationally fond of this story.
