I'm really not interested in obvious dominant and submissive stuff (and I've seen Clex written that way, and well, it's just not my tasty salad.). It's actually sort of a kink of mine for some pairings, but for Clex it just doesn't work, unless you give one of them a radical change of character, for example by turning Clark into Kal (and even with red!Clark it doesn't quite work.) I guess it's because of the underlying concepts of the characters - the whole point of Lex Luthor and Superman is that they balance each other out.
