Friends

I just defriended someone, basically, over a post about shoes. Idek. But we hadn't been friends for long, and I thought it'd be better to nip in the bud what could only end in either passive annoyance from my side or a big fall out.

So, a few honest words about ALL OF YOU:

There are some people on my flist who occasionally irritate me, but that's just life. There are some others who spam, but I don't mind spam at all - unless it's about stuff I JUST COULDN'T CARE LESS about - but hey, nobody forces me to read your posts about RPF or celebrities or fandom_secret memes, and I'm sure most of my posts don't interest you, either. Some people on my flist have radically different political views, and I actually value the occasional reminder that not everyone in the world is leftwing and that not all conservatives are horrible, and my blood pressure is low, so it can take the ocasional rise. Luckily, no one on my flist has an icon that scares the shit out of me, like that one guy on scans_daily. WTF, scans_daily guy, I'll be scarred for life and I never know when your icon might pop up in comments and I can't even tell you to stop because that'd mean looking at your icon. Some people on my flist are wank magnets, and make me roll my eyes at their shenanigans. Some post kitty pictures all the time, and, yay! I love kitty pictures. And pictures of people who aren't plastic-faced celebrities. Some people constantly post about their issues/personal tragedies, and sometimes it gets me down, but usually it just makes me feel like I know them. Some people post fanart that isn't my cup of tea (because I'm picky about fanart), but most of you are good about using cuts. Some people do that thing Americans sometimes do when they're all "hugs/kisses/darlings!/sweetie!" and it's also not my cup of tea, but I brush it off as cultural difference. Some of you I've considered defriending. Some of you I wish I was actually friends with.

If any of this makes you want to defriend me, it's really, really okay.
