Post EoT fic

I'm writing actual, proper long Whofic, which I think I haven't done since Living Things. In an unexpected twist, it's going to be Eight/Simm!Master, but with a very strong focus on the Master. Although I've written Simm!Master before and felt I was doing okay, EoT has actually turned him into a Master I *really* like. It's the first time I'm really writing his POV. That just shows that EoT is much better than S3, because for much of TSoD/TLoTL, the Master's internal monologue seemed to consist of "Mwahahaha" (which, to be fair, probably isn't that different from Ainley!Master's internal and external monologues, but Ainley did it with more style and a goatee.) It's also a Time War fic, which is the second time I'm trying this but this time it means I'll finally have the chance to use "Gallifrey" characters.

And I listened to Big Finish's "An Earthly Child" yesterday, in which an old character returns (guess who) and that character might or might not have been in End of Time, too, which is funny. Also, I enjoyed Eight sans companion, because truth to be told, I was never very fond of Lucie. Best part though was the commentary with Paul McGann, who must be the only actor I enjoy listening to while he's not in-character.

So apparently I'm properly fannish about Doctor Who again :D

Also, someone on the DW kink meme has prompted for Rassilon/everyone, which I heartily support.
